Antique Art Deco Gesso Frame Wall Hanging Mirror. Up for sale is the wall hanging giltwood and gesso frame mirror carved with flowers, dated early 20. Century in the Art Deco Period during the 1920s and 1930s. The mirror features a gold gilt gesso with floral motifs at the top and wood frame with wider shoulder and tapered down body. The frame is carved and painted. Although not marked, the mirror is very likely a product of the Nurre company in Bloomington, Indiana in the Art Deco period. Measures: Frame part, 13 ½ wide (widest parts at the shoulder) x 28 ¼ high x approx. 1 thick; Mirror part, 11 ¼ wide x 23 ½ high; Weight, over 5 lbs & 9 oz. Condition: Good, with no chips, cracks or repairs to mirror, which however is tainted at the upper left side, with some chips to frame, consistent with age and use.
