CONDITION: Beautifully Ornate with gold gilt -- there is a bit of damage/chipping/scratches on the 150-200 year old frame -- as pictured in photos. Any decent framing shop should be able to repair nicely.
All bits are Quite good for age!! My photos show a glare / reflection on the glass sorry! - there is no damage to the glass/matting or portrait.
I tried to reflect its good condition in the photos and video. No major damage (NO breaks, cracks, missing parts), a few small time-related very fine, barely able to see dimples, hazy clear spots, barely there scritches/scrapes, but nothing that deters from its timeless elegance and beauty. (all vintage and antique items are selected for their above-average condition for their age).. DESCRIPTION: ANTIQUE Framed Portrait Artwork - 18x15 Ornate Rococo-style Baroque Gesso Gold Gilt Frame of French Noble Lady surrounded by Gold Edged Matted Art RARE! A few smaller than dime chips in gesso due to age (1800s). I do not know the name of the noble women styled in 19th-century fashion. I did not remove them from the frame. The dust proofing on the back looks more like the 20th century than the 19th c. - probably added to protect the artwork and frame from, well you know, dust. I tried to show all the important aspects of the item... But my camera skills could use a wee bit of improvement, haha. Again, colors are likely to be slightly different depending on your viewing screen and the lighting in the area photographed, but I try to get the closest that my camera and screens show me.Hahah -- bear with me... I hope I don't make you too dizzy. ALWAYS feel free to ask for more photos, or another attempt at the video focused on something you want to see! All items are carefully, lightly cleaned with Murphy's oil soap, vinegar, and water, or environmentally friendly methods as appropriate to materials. I will leave the rusty and dusty, or the tarnished metal patina on items that I know buyers usually LIKE / PREFER this way.
